About Worldtravellen
I'm Eleni, and this is my story! My travel journey began at age three on my first airplane ride to Frankfurt. A flight attendant handed me a tiny toy airplane 🛩️, a simple gesture that my mom says made me happier than anything else could. That miniature plane became a symbol of everything to come: a life of exploration across 33 countries and 4 continents.
According to my mom (always according to my mom 😛), my joy was indescribable, as if they'd given me the entire world. And in a way, they had.
How Worldtravellen was born
The Spark: 2013 Interrail adventure
After an epic Interrail journey across Europe in 2013, I knew I had to share my experiences. I had so many stories, photos, and insights from that trip, I couldn't keep them to myself. The idea of Worldtravellen was born, but it remained just an idea for four more years.
The Launch: summer 2017
In summer 2017, I finally bought my domain worldtravellen.com and turned my dream into reality. Since then, I've documented adventures across Europe, Africa, Asia and America helping fellow travelers discover authentic experiences and practical travel tips.

What makes Worldtravellen different
Real experience, real advice: Every guide comes from personal travel. I've walked these streets, eaten at these restaurants, stayed in these hotels, and made the mistakes so you don't have to.
Insider + traveler perspective:Having lived in four European countries gives me something rare: both local insider knowledge AND a traveler's curiosity. I know:
Which beaches Greeks actually visit
Where locals eat in Spanish cities
British quirks that confuse visitors
How to afford Switzerland without going broke
All recommendations are genuine. If I suggest something, it's because I genuinely loved it, not because someone paid me to say it.
